THE WORLD OF THE WOLF OF MIZUKYO

Welcome to the Continent of Amasia

The Wolf of Mizukyo takes place in the far future, in a somewhat post-apocalyptic era dominated by the struggles of humanity in the face of dragons. Primitive villages coexist with bustling, high-tech cities, both of which fall under the domain of a planet that has changed significantly over time. This world is inhabited by strife—strife excelled by the weaponization of dragons. In the lone convergent supercontinent of Amasia, these ferocious, untamed beasts, with their powerful abilities and self-regenerative tissue, would ravage the land and humankind. And yet, humankind sought to humanize them, too. To combine the prowess of a dragon with the frail psyche of a human mind, an army of obedient super-soldiers could be forced to fight this war… and so, it was a sheer race against the clock to gain the upper hand on such ungodly biological warfare.

Amasia, albeit a single continent, is more or less split into two neo-superpower factions of united countries at war: Earendel and Proxima. It is made up of various countries whose roots are traced from countries we know in real life. The leading country of Earendel is WoM’s “version” of Japan, Oyashima, while the leading country of Proxima is Ruthenia, WoM’s “version” of Russia.

Although multiple languages and cultures have survived over time, English and Japanese are the two main, worldwide languages, with Russian and Chinese following reasonably close behind.

An interactive map will be provided in the future—Amasia uses the base of a proposed Neo Pangaea as a map. In the meantime, here is a clickable list of established locations present throughout the world:
